Circular Economy Investment Fund

Through the Circular Economy Investment Fund (CEIF), Zero Waste Scotland has invested £12.5m in over 60 projects with small and medium-sized enterprises to accelerate the transition to a more circular economy.

It is projecting to deliver over 60k tonnes of annual carbons savings and attracting private investment of £59m.

CEIF has been supported by the Scottish Government and European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Zero Waste Scotland is committed to supporting businesses to implement circular innovations and recognises the transformational impact that grant support can have as projects move towards commercialisation.  We are preparing a successor programme with similar objectives to the CEIF and expect to open the application process for the successor fund in early 2023.

In the meantime, we invite businesses to submit enquiries to the Business Investment team at CEIFenquiries@zerowastescotland.org.uk. As we prepare for the successor fund, we can discuss project ideas and interim support requirements with businesses and offer feedback and advice.

Businesses can also visit the following websites to view other business support and funding opportunities in Scotland at the present time.
